Formatting/layout of academic documents

For academic papers, not only the content is crucial, but also their external form. The best content is of no use if the presentation does not meet certain standards.
This is not an end in itself, but serves the clarity, comprehensibility, traceability and thus ultimately the content.

Therefore, problems with the creation of text documents in Word and presentations in PowerPoint should be addressed here.
The result should be adequately presented content in both cases:
Word (term paper/paper/thesis).
PowerPoint (presentation/handout)

Assuming the appropriate content (to be created by the participants themselves), the results should formally meet academic standards.
