Graduate Record Examination Test (GRE)
The University of Mannheim’s Studium Generale has been an official test center for the Graduate Record Examination Test (GRE) since January of 2020.
The GRE is conducted by the private company Educational Testing Service (ETS). Online tests are carried out at the University of Mannheim on behalf of the ETS.

How can I sign up for the test?
Information on testing dates and on how to sign up is available exclusively on the official GRE-Test-Website.
What does the GRE evaluate?
The test comprises the following three parts:
Score scale
- Verbal Reasoning 130-170
- Quantitative Reasoning 130-170
- Analytical Writing 0-6
When do I get my test results?
After around 10-15 days, the results are available online and are sent to the institution you have chosen.
How long does the test take?
The test takes approx. 2 hours.
