Since April, you also have the possibility to take the TOEFL iBT® test as well as the GRE® General Test from the comfort of your home. Nevertheless, it is still possible to conduct the TOEFL iBT® test at a test center nearby in connection with a corona safety concept. This offer, however, involves increased costs, for which reason the TOEFL® test now costs US$ 5 more – in other words, US$ 260 instead of US$ 255.

The following dates have been allocated to the University of Mannheim’s Studium Generale for the conducting of TOEFL tests:

The test result is available online approx. 10 days after doing the test. It can also be sent to you via regular post if this was explicitly wished beforehand.

The certificate is valid for two years.

The test comprises a reading, listening, and writing section as well as a speaking section (via microphone and headset).

The test is conducted individually via computer and takes approx. 2 hours.

The highest achievable score for the iBT is 120 points.
