Write Your Way In: Crafting a Strong Motivation Letter for Internships and First Jobs - Samira Lemkecher

Course description:
Struggling to put your strengths and interests into words? This hands-on workshop is designed for students who want to master the art of writing compelling motivation letters for internships and first jobs. You’ll learn how to analyze job ads, structure your letter effectively, and use AI tools to refine your text.
Through practical exercises and peer feedback, you’ll draft a personalized motivation letter that highlights your unique profile. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a first draft of your letter and the confidence to present yourself persuasively in future applications.
Preparation:
Please bring a job or internship posting that interests you (or one you’ve already applied to) to work on during the workshop.
About the lecturer:
Samira Lemkecher has extensive experience supporting international students in their integration into the German labor market. She has organized career events, coached students on their professional entry, and worked as a tutor and German language instructor at universities in Germany and abroad.

What do you need to win others with your style of communication and how can you guarantee that people are listening? Let’s take a look how you can benefit from various approaches for your self-presentation.
This workshop is designed to provide you some hands-on hacks for your personal and professional life. The main focus is on active listening, nonverbal signals, non-violent communication and feedback. Input is provided which you can practise during the session and deepen after.
